In the Zone, Day 4

Friday we were in panic mode, so it was interesting to see how Monday went – the first day where we’re all at work or school all day.

Breakfast (5 blocks or pretty close)

Smoothie from the PDF pretty much. Blended together:

  • 2 c. milk (non-fat, skim milk for me)
  • 1 tbsp. protein powder
  • 2 scoops of the collagen peptides
  • 2 c. frozen strawberries
  • 1⁄2 c. frozen blueberries
  • 15 cashews (forgot these, so ate them after the fact)

Not counted (post-WOD recovery)

  • One scoop of GamePlan Watermelon recovery shake (doesn’t count for anything according to Drea)

Snack (3 blocks)

  • 2 oz. steak – 2 blocks protein
  • 1 egg – 1 block protein
  • 1 8″ tortilla = 2 blocks carbs
  • 1/2 cup of diced onion = < 1 block of carb
  • 2 teaspoons of sour cream = 2 blocks fat
  • 1 oz coffee creamer (for the coffee I missed this morning) = 1 block fat

Lunch (5 blocks or pretty close)

  • 2 pieces of bread – 2 blocks carbs
  • 2 half cups of watermelon – 2 blocks carbs
  • 2 teaspoons of light mayo – 2 blocks fat
  • 12 cashews = 3 blocks fat
  • 2 oz cheddar cheese = 2 blocks protein
  • 3 oz. green chile chicken = 3 blocks protein

Snack #2 (3 blocks or pretty close)

  • whole apple = 2 blocks carbs
  • 2.5 oz of cheese = 3 blocks of protein
  • 12 cashews = 3 blocks of fat

Dinner (5 blocks-ish)

  • 5 oz of crock pot pork = 5 blocks protein
  • 1 full sweet potato = 3 blocks carbs
  • 2 cup cooked broccoli = 1 block carbs
  • 1 tsp butter = 3 blocks fat
  • 6 almonds = 2 blocks fat

Wow I ate a lot of food again.
